European Tour – Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Hosted by the Rory Foundation

Jon Rahm made his first European Tour win a Rolex Series event with an utterly dominant record-breaking victory at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Hosted by the Rory Foundation.

The Spaniard entered the final day at Portstewart Golf Club with a share of the lead but produced a brilliant closing 65 to get to 24 under and romp home by six shots.

His total to par is the lowest in the event's history by three shots and is also the lowest of the season, beating Brandon Stone's 22 under par total at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Scot Richie Ramsay and England's Matthew Southgate were his nearest challengers, with Ramsay earning himself a place at the Open Championship alongside countryman David Drysdale and New Zealander Ryan Fox who were a further shot back.

World Number 13 Justin Rose and American Daniel Im also finished at 17 under, with Drysdale producing the lowest round of the week on Sunday with seven closing birdies in a 63.

PGA Tour – The Greenbrier Classic

A strong finish in the U.S. Open late month helped prepare Xander Schauffele for the nerve-racking grind of chasing a title on the PGA TOUR.

The rookie made a 3-foot birdie putt on the final hole Sunday to win The Greenbrier Classic by a stroke over Robert Streb for his first TOUR victory.

Schauffele closed with a 3-under 67 and finished at 14-under 266 to cap a daylong duel with Streb and third-round leader Sebastian Munoz.

Streb shot 69. Munoz had a 72 to tie for third with Jamie Lovemark at 12 under. Lovemark shot 69.

The 23-year-old Schauffele, who took up golf after giving up soccer because his coaches wanted him to switch from offense to defense, tied for fifth in his first U.S. Open at Erin Hills.

"The U.S. Open was a huge moment in my career," Schauffele said. "It was one of the biggest stages, and for me to be calm and collected throughout the week and just kind of hang on and tie for fifth was huge for me mentally. It kind of gave me the confidence and allowed me to play to win this week."

Watching fellow youngster Jon Rahm of Spain win the Irish Open earlier Sunday also served as motivation for Schauffele, who shot from 94th to 27th in the FedExCup standings.

"Everybody knows I'm a late bloomer," Schauffele said. "To jump into the top 30 is something special for me."

Schauffele, Streb, Munoz and Lovemark earned spots in the British Open in two weeks. The leading four players not already exempt from the top-12 finishers qualified. Russell Henley was the only player among the top 10 finishers who already was in.

Japan Golf Tour – Shigeo Nagashima Invitational SEGA SAMMY Cup

Chan Kim won the Shigeo Nagashima Invitational SEGA SAMMY Cup after a closing 66 for a 270 total moving from World No. 276 to 153.

Web.com Tour – LECOM Health Challenge

Chesson Hadley two-putted for par at the 72nd hole and secured his PGA TOUR card Sunday at the LECOM Health Challenge with a one-stroke victory over Web.com Tour rookie Beau Hossler. Hadley carded a final-round, 7-under 65 for a 23-under-par 265 total, a new 72-hole tournament record at Peek’n Peak’s Upper Course.

“I know 23-under is probably a record for me,” said Hadley, who was four better than Rick Lamb’s total in 2016. “I know I shot 22-under when I won in Puerto Rico on TOUR, but 23-under is the best I’ve ever shot. I peaked at the right time. The key is to maintain it.”

The 30-year-old from Raleigh, N.C. jumped from No. 22 to No. 4 on the money list with a first-place prize of $108,000. His total earnings of $218,450 means Hadley will be competing for a FedExCup trophy starting in the fall.

“That was the goal this year,” said Hadley, who finished No. 159 in the FedExCup standings last season. “I know I had TOUR status, it’s not great TOUR status, but it’s still TOUR status, which is always a positive. I wanted to lock my card up and once I did that I was going to go chase some TOUR starts.”

Challenge Tour - Prague Golf Challenge

Garrick Porteous sealed a dominant victory at the inaugural Prague Golf Challenge, winning by five shots to claim a maiden European Challenge Tour title.

The Englishman carried a four-shot lead into the final round and his five under par 67 took him to 24 under par at Prague City Golf, with Julien Guerrier, Christopher Mivis and Bradley Neil in a share of second place.

Having not made a Challenge Tour cut all season, this is a transformative result for the 27 year old, long rated as a hot prospect since winning the Amateur Championship four years ago, as he moves up to 16th place on the Road to Oman.

At the turn the lead had been cut, with Guerrier pulling within two strokes, but once again Porteous proved too good on the back nine, which he played in a cumulative 19 under par this week.

Pro Golf Tour – Sparkassen Open

With a record-round of 59 German Hinrich Arkenau started the Sparkassen Open with confidence.

The German won the tournament with a total 24 under par (59, 65, 68), one shot ahead of Englishman Ben Parker (64, 67, 62). The 59 was scored for the second time at the Bochumer Golfclub and the third time ever on the Pro Golf Tour.

Asian Development Tour – Charming Yeangder

Wang Wei-lun of Chinese Taipei erased the heartbreaks from two play-off defeats over the last two years by claiming his first Asian Development Tour (ADT) title at the Charming Yeangder ADT on Sunday.

Wang, who started the round with a one-shot advantage, closed with a two-under-par 70 to win by two shots on 14-under-par 274 total at the Linkou International Golf and Country Club, a regular host venue on the Asian Tour.

The 23-year-old Wang was tied for lead with countryman and playing partner Wang Tsung-chieh heading into the 18th tee before an errant approach shot saw Tsung-chieh stumbled out of the title race with a bogey while Wang sank a one-footer for birdie.

Tsung-chieh signed for a 71 to settle for second place alongside compatriots Yeh Wei-tze (67), Hsu Hao-sheng (70) and Yang Fei-hao (71), as well as Japan’s Masaru Takahashi (71), who emerged as the best-placed foreigner, in the US$150,000 event.

EuroPro Tour – The Dawson & Sanderson Classic

Nick Marsh won the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour’s Dawson & Sanderson Classic on the fourth play-off hole at Longhirst Hall.

A final-round 73, one-over-par, saw Marsh (Huddersfield Golf Club) complete the tournament seven under, the same score as Irishman Brendan McCarroll (Narin & Portnoo Golf Club), who had birdied the last two to record a final-round 70.

The duo headed to the 17th tee and while McCarroll made a good up and down after narrowly avoided the rough from the tee and then a greenside bunker with his second shot, while Marsh missed a 15 foot putt for birdie.

The 18th was the second play-off hole and Marsh will feel lucky to have escaped with par. He was in the rough off the tee and then watch McCarroll miss an eight-foot birdie putt for what would have been the win.

The pair then returned to 17 where both again made par, before Marsh sunk his birdie putt from just inside 15 feet for the victory.

PGA Tour Canada - Players Cup

Kramer Hickok shot a 5-under 66 on Sunday at Pine Ridge Golf Club to win the Players Cup, earning his first Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada win.

The 25-year old converted a one-shot overnight lead into victory, using a flurry of three birdies and an eagle on the back nine to win by three over Wilmer, Alabama’s Robby Shelton.

“This is why I came to this tour, to try and win and play against honestly some of the best players in the world,” said Hickok, who moves to third on the Order of Merit. “To be able to play in front of the fans, this is getting us ready for the PGA TOUR, and there’s nothing like it.”

After re-emerging as the leader through 11 holes – Shelton briefly held the lead at the turn but made a double bogey at 10 – Hickok found a spark on the par-5 12th, carving a 3-iron from 227 yards to within a foot of the hole for an eagle to extend the lead to three over the charging Shelton, who made birdies on 14 and 15.

“That was kind of a defining moment for me,” said Hickok. “Robby was the one guy that I knew was going to play well. I knew he was going to shoot 4- or 5-under, because he’s just that type of player. That’s what he does.”

Alps Tour Golf - Saint Malo Golf Open

French amateur Thomas Boulanger defeated his fellow countryman Robin Roussel after first extra hole at Saint Malo Golf Open.

The 17 year old player from Cannes holed a 5 meter putt to grab maiden win and engrave his name on the trophy. He signed for 68 final round, -18 and Roussel recorded a card of -2. The latter admitted his putting was less efficient today and the he missed a couple 2 meter putts to hope better results.

Boulanger was the leader after round one and explained it was a dream as he only hoped to make the cut. Way more than the cut, the talented young gun kept the pace and with no fear challenged t pros on their soil.

Nordic Golf League – Lannalodge Open

Experienced Antti Ahokas won the Nordic Golf Leagues Lannalodge Open moving to World No. 864.
