Garcia stays at 6th in the Official World Golf Ranking but he narrows the gap to Retief Goosen in 5th who will be defending his US Open title this week. Tiger Woods has returned to the World Number One spot.

Garcia stays at 6th in the Official World Golf Ranking but he narrows the gap to Retief Goosen in 5th who will be defending his US Open title this week. Tiger Woods has returned to the World Number One spot.

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano won the KLM Open at Hilversumsche, Holland on the European Tour by two strokes from his final round playing partner Gary Emerson. His final round of 67 gave him victory in only his 16th tournament as a professional and an improvement of 245 places to 176th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

On the Nationwide Tour Chris Couch won the LaSalle Bank Open by four strokes and climbs to World Number 309 while on the European Challenge Tour Finland’s Toni Karjalainen won the Thomas Bjorn Open presented by Multidata and now occupies 508th position in the World Ranking.
